WINEMAKING COMMENTS: This is our first Pinot Gris made in this style, with a wild ferment and oak influence. The 2010 season produced ideal growing conditions in our Night Sky vineyard, with the wild ferment allowing us to show the true expression of Pinot Gris. This wine was fermented in both new and older oak barriques, followed by 6 months ageing in barrel on lees. A great food wine, displaying an elegant style with layers of texture and creamy mouthfeel, complementing the varietal fruit and floral characters.
